Polished Agates

PAGE 2

Many of these are agates that I have cut for myself, many are from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. None of the photos are enhanced - indeed, the photos don't do these proper justice. They are all have as high a polish as is possible have no visible scratches. I am extremely picky about that. Many of these are rare types that you simply aren't going to find for sale anywhere else. Slabs are noted, otherwise these are rough pieces with one side cut and polished.
All pieces will be sent Parcel Post mail or flat rate priority mail ($9.55 - $20.95), depending on weight, whichever is less unless you specify the shipping method. The majority will be priority mail padded flat rate envelope = $9.55.

Agate 21 Plume Agate 3" slice. I'm not sure where this is from but I would guess Carey Ranch, Oregon.

$6.00

YES
Agate 22 Brazilian Agate nodule 4 3/4", thick slab. Very typical pattern for a Brazil.

$12.00

YES
Agate 23 Montana Agate, Yellowstone River 3 1/4" polished half.

$5.00

YES
Agate 24 Brazil agate nodule 4" polished half. Looks like a foggy day to me.

$4.00!

YES
Agate 25 Montana Agate, Yellowstone River 4 1/4" piece, this is a real oddball for the location. Cut flat on the bottom so it stands up on its own.

$8.00

YES
Agate 26 Graveyard Point Plume Agate, OR 5 1/4" hefty piece, no plumes. From the Purple Sage agate claim, long since dug out (mea culpa). What was left was impossible to get without an excavator and explosives, and somebody tried and failed spectacularly (they buried it underneath 20 feet of rock they blew off the sides). I'm finally letting go of almost all my Graveyard pieces, most of them haven't seen the light of day in 20 years. So what's listed now is all of it.

$8.00

SOLD
Agate 27 Mary Ellen "Jasper", Michigan

4 3/4", thick slice. This is not jasper, I know everybody calls it that but jasper is completely opaque by definition. This one (and almost all of it) has translucent pockets of agate. It's actually a fossil stromatolite (I'll let you look that one up).

$10.00

SOLD
Agate 28 Graveyard Point Plume Agate, OR 3 1/2" piece, perfect black plumes with flecks of sparkly gold marcasite. From the Purple Sage agate claim, long since dug out (mea culpa). What was left was impossible to get without an excavator and explosives, and somebody tried and failed spectacularly (they buried it underneath 20 feet of rock they scraped off the sides).

$12.00

SOLD
Agate 29 Graveyard Point Plume Agate, OR 4 1/4" slice, perfect black plumes with flecks of sparkly gold marcasite. This is a display specimen worthy piece. So what will be listed in the next few months is all of it.

$20.00

SOLD
Agate 30 Montana Agate, Yellowstone River 3" polished half, cool black scallops.

$8.00

YES
Agate 31 Cornflake Carnelian, Sweet Home, OR

3 1/4" slab. The Cornflake variety occurs in a few places in Northwest OR and Southwest WA but this location is the main source. It's from the former Drummond Ranch, where the owner Polly Drummond had a fee dig for this agate and peterified wood for decades. Much of the carnelian from the northwest is from there. Many tons were dug over the decades.

$14.00

SOLD
Agate 32 Pink Limb Cast, Paulina, OR 3 3/4" piece, from the Dendrite Butte area. It's very rough on the outside, so likely it was just a pocket in the rock and not replacement of an actual limb by agate. We occasionally find these but they're uncommon in the area.

$10.00

SOLD
Agate 33 Brazil agate nodule 3" half, lots of weird little white flecks in it.

$8.00

YES
Agate 34 Cornflake Carnelian, Sweet Home, OR, OR 2 1/2" piece, the cornflakes are obvious in this one!

$10.00

YES
Agate 35 Graveyard Point Plume Agate, OR 4 3/4" piece, very small white plumes. So what will be listed in the next few months is all of it.

You MUST allow cookies and popups for the PayPal site to work! (I get complaints that Paypal is "broken" at least once a week. It is ALWAYS because your web browser and/or firewall is blocking information from Paypal)
You MUST have a valid email address to use PayPal!
You DO NOT NEED A PAYPAL ACCOUNT to use PayPal! If you choose to pay via eCheck, I will wait for it to clear before starting on your order.
Do not ever email anyone your credit card number! If someone asks you for it, they are attempting to steal it! If you email me your credit card number, it will likely be stolen since one of tens of thousands of bots will probably intercept any email that looks like it has a credit card number in it. I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway, that's what PayPal is for.
